Top Ten Books/Authors I'm Thankful For

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday has another topic and different bloggers give their top ten. I love making lists, so here's mine for this week!

This week topic is

Top Ten Books/Authors I'm Thankful For

I'm thankful for a lot of books and authors. They're a very important part of my life. It was really hard, but I managed to make a Top Ten!

Twilight (Twilight, #1)
1. Twilight
Definitely number one on this list! After years of non-reading this book got me hooked again!

2. J.K. Rowling
For writing one of the most amazing series in the world!

3. J.R.R. Tolkien
Of course I have to be thankful of an author who wrote such amazing and detailed stories.

4. His Dark Materials
Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)I read this book a couple years ago and the story has so many layers. One of the most beautiful books I've read in my entire life.

5. Mary Hoffman
Most of the books I've read by her are set in the most awesome country in the world: Italy.

6. Pushing the Limits
For making me love contemporary YA!

Storm (Elemental, #1)7. Bunheads
A book about my two passions: reading and dancing.

8. Nicholas Sparks
For writing the most amazing love stories.

9. The Curse Girl by Kate Avery Ellison
An awesome retelling of Beauty and the Beast and she's one of the most amazing indie authors I know.

10. Elementals by Brigid Kemmerer
My favorite series at this moment!

  1. I've actually never read a Nicholas Sparks book. Shame on me. I've seen a few of the films and loved those. I will need to read them!

I'm thankful for Twilight too. I mean, I don't care what anyone says. We were all hooked until someone said it wasn't cool anymore and people dropped it. I was completely obsessed. I've been thinking about re-reading them. It has been a few years!

    1. I couldn't agree with you more! I used to love Twilight until all those people told me how stupid it actually was. I really thought I must be crazy for liking them! ;)

  2. Love Rowling and Tolkien! His Dark Materials is one of my favorite series too. But I have yet to try other titles from Philip Pullman. :)

  5. YES to Twilight and JK Rowling. If it wasn't for Twilight I would have never given YA a second glance. I love Nicholas Sparks too, although he didn't get a mention on my list.

  6. I'm so happy to see J.K Rowling on every list :D And I also like Spark's his books. They are sappy, but that's not a bad thing sometimes :)
