My name is Helene, I'm 23 years old, I live in The Netherlands and, most important of all: I love reading books! Mostly YA, but you can also find chick lit on my shelves.
My book habits
The most perfect reading day has: hot chocolate, rainy weather, a couch (inside) and a good book.Once upon a time I was a girl who hated ereaders and ebooks and now I'm practically in love with my Kobo. But please don't ask me what I love more: physical copies of ebooks, because I'm still undecided on that one!
My favorite place to read is on the couch. It's comfortable and I still seem a bit social. Although talking to me isn't really working, because I probably won't listen.
And that brings me to my next book habit: I always carry a book with me. These days I mostly have my e-reader with me, because physical copies tend to get a bit damaged sometimes in my handbag. And if I finish a book, I always have another one with me (or I could easily buy one).
The book is most of the time better than the movie. After watching The Golden Compass before reading the book, I decided to always read the book before going to the movie. It wasn't a good experience the other way around.
Two great series:
Elementals - Brigid Kemmerer
The Iron Fey - Julie Kagawa
The Iron Fey - Julie Kagawa
Some of my non-bookish favorites:
Quote: "We read to know we're not alone" - C.S. Lewis
Sport: Hooping
Shoes: My black high heels
Drink: Iced tea
Number: 2
Colour: Green
I hope you enjoy reading my blog!
Hello! I just saw your blog via the interview on GReads. Happy to be following and looking forward to reading your reviews. I was so excited to see that you're from Leiden! I live in New York but I have some family in the Netherlands (Oegstgeest, mostly)...I finally got to visit them for the first time in 2010, and Leiden was my favorite stop during our visit. I loved the market days. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment! It's great to hear you loved Leiden so much, it's a great city :)
DeleteLeuke blog en heel leuke boeken. Jammer dat ze niet allemaal vertaald zijn in Nederlands (mijn Engels is niet al te best)
