Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature created by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday has another topic and different bloggers give their top ten. I love making lists, so here's mine for this week!

This week topic is
Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished

There are so many (good) series and I'm reading quite a few. Most series I start I also finish. So there are only a few I haven't or won't finish. This TTT has two parts. The first books are series I won't finish. The rest are series I still intend to finish, but I have on hold for now.

Series I won't finished
Marked (House of Night, #1)1. House of Night by P.C. and Kristin Cast
I loved Marked. When I finished it I was so happy there would be twelve books in the series. Up until book five I loved this series. And than it started to go downwards really fast. I actually hated Awakened. I don't like giving up on series, so I doubted for a long time if I shouldn't just finish it. But I've made up my mind: I won't read the last books in the series.

2. Wicca by Cate Tiernan
I'd heard so many amazing things about this series I couldn't wait to read it. I didn't like Book of Shadows at all. I love series about witches, but this was not for me. I had a hard time finishing the first book and since the series contains quite a lot of books I decided not to go further with it.

3. Otherkin by Nina Berry
The first book wasn't bad, but not great either. It didn't really make me curious for the second book, so it will probably end here for me.
Switched (Trylle Trilogy, #1)

4. Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking
I couldn't wait to read this series. Even though it was about trolls and that sounded a bit weird I had high expectations. When I started Switched I wanted to punch myself for waiting so long, because it was so good! Unfortunately the second half of the story was as bad as the first half was good. I've heard amazing things about her new series, but I'm not sure if I'll read it.

Series on hold
5. Dreaming Anastasia by Joy Preble
The first book was very good, but I'm reading series that I think are better. I will finish it, but not any time soon.
Eragon (Inheritance, #1)
6. Inheritance by Christopher Paolini
I read the first book and thought it was amazing, but you really have to get into it and remember a lot of things. So I've decided to read the other books when I really have the time for it.

7. The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod by Heather Brewer
I've read the first two books and liked them, but not so much I can't wait to finish the series. I think I will at some point.

8. War of the Witches by Maite Carranza
Same as with the other series. Liked the first book, but not one of the best series I've read, so it will have to wait on me to finish it.

9. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Wings (Wings, #1)I read If I Stay when I wasn't really into contemporary. I liked it, but I never felt like reading the second part. I have it on my shelves so somewhere in the future I'll definitely read it.

10. Wings by Aprilynne Pike
I have read the first two books and I still have to buy the last two. I'm not sure when I will and after that when I'll read them. I liked Wings and Spells and I want to know how it ends, but it can wait a while.

What series have you not finished?

  1. It's the having-to-remember-things part of reading series that always gets me. I read Divergent when it first came out; I was completely lost when I tried the sequel!

Here's my Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished. I hope you will stop by!

  2. House of Night has been in my TBR for a long time. I haven't found time to read it though. Wicca was one of the series I loved when I read it. I was in high school and early college when I collected and finished the series. I even fell in love with one of the guys. Back then, I really loved this series. I want to read it again but I'm afraid that my perception has changed and I might end up not liking it. I don't know. Maybe I still will. I'm easy to please anyway. XD

Trylle is in my TBR too, because I liked the cover so much. I'm not so sure about the troll thing though. I think that's one of the reasons why I haven't read it yet. LOL.

When Eragon came out, I wanted to read it but up till now, I haven't. I found a hard bound copy of Brisngr on sale and bought it. I love hard bounds. :3

  3. I forgot the House of Night series! I loved Marked and had to get the nex one immediately, but from book 3 until Tempted it was sort of 'meh' to me. My sister&me buy them together (taking turns) but after Burned we sort of stopped. I don't know if we'll finish it. I really liked the Eragon books! I've only read the first 3 so far though, but I plan on continuingat some point. I have heard of some of the other series but haven't read them. Glad to hear that you liked the Vladimir Tod books because I plan on giving them a try at some point.
    I also haven't read Amanda Hocking's books.
Thanks for stopping by my post, and I really plan on catching up with the Iron Fey soon so that I can read The Lost Prince ^^

  4. I really liked Switched. It is the only one I have read, but I am looking forward to reading the others. Its to bad you didn't like it. Where She went is good, but not as good as If I Stay (in my opinion).

Thanks for stopping by my Top Ten Tuesday

  5. I LOVED Where She Went the sequel to If I Stay. I don't know what types of books you read, but I thought it was a fantastic follow up. I have trouble starting series that are projected to be super long, especially when tons of the books have already been released. It gets overwhelming. But I've heard good things about House of Night.

  6. I started listening to the audio of Inheritance by Paolini a few months ago... I really need to finish that up. :)
